Matt McElwee joined us in the evening. The next day we took some early morning beach pictures and then went to see the Nags Head nature Preserve run by the Nature Conservancy. This was a nice walk and it was a pleasant cool day.
In the afternoon Sue, Matt and I took Aiden and Sean to Jockey Ridge State Park, with its huge sand dunes. We walked up over the dunes and down to the shoreline. It was cool and windy.
Finally, it was time for our last beach outing. Matt, Aiden and Sean went into the water. It was cool but they had a great time. Sue, Kate and Gavin looked on from the beach. And Grandpa? He was back at the house watching Malcolm - the picture shows my state when the rest came back and the little boy that did me in. Also there is a picture of Aiden's shells, his take from a week of beachcombing. These shells went through a Clorox bath, got driven to Alexandria and then flown to California when Sue and I visited at Thanksgiving time. Very special - we hope Aiden's sales plan works out!
